The Power of Feedback: How Listening Shapes Learning at Empowerment University for Children
At Empowerment University for Children (EUC), our learning platform is always evolving because we are committed to listening and responding to teachers, parents, and everyone invested in children’s education. This ongoing feedback loop ensures that we are meeting the real needs of our learners, from PreK to fourth grade.
Not long ago, we invited feedback from a dedicated teacher using our Read with Me Video Book Series with her fourth graders. She told us how much she loved the material and suggested we add a WebQuest for advanced learners. Her thoughtful suggestion was exactly the kind of insight that helps us keep our programs relevant and engaging.
Our mission with this program has always been to help all children build a strong foundation in reading and language arts. This is more important than ever. After the pandemic, only 1 out of 10 fourth graders read at grade level (National Assessment of Educational Progress, 2022). That’s why we design our materials to help younger students advance early and ensure that fourth graders meet key reading and language arts milestones.
Empowerment University for Children is a subdivision of Elevated Missions PREP, Inc., a professional development company at its core. But we know that every professional starts as a child, and that a strong foundation in literacy isn’t just for school—it’s for life.
Thanks to this valuable teacher feedback, we’re excited to announce the addition of a WebQuest to our Read with Me Video Book Series. Our first WebQuest is inspired by the story of Malik the Honest Trader, giving learners a new way to engage, explore, and grow. Moving forward, each Read with Me experience includes the video book, an activity pack, and the all-new WebQuest.
And we’re not stopping there! For those who love interactive learning, we’re also planning a virtual summer camp where children can connect, create, and continue their literacy journey.
