Exploring the Creation Story through Conversation and Activity

Let’s discover how God created our world!

  1. Day 1: Light
God created light and separated it from darkness.
Activity: Shine the flashlight. What happens in complete darkness?
Let’s Talk: Why do you think light is important? What would life be like without it?
  2. Day 2: Sky
God made the sky above the waters.
Activity: Look at the sky. Draw what you see.
Let’s Talk: How does the sky change during the day or in different weather?
  3. Day 3: Land, Sea & Plants
God gathered water and made dry land, then plants, trees, and fruit.
Activity: Touch water, hold fruit, or find leaves outside.
Let’s Talk: Why are plants important for people and animals?
  4. Day 4: Sun, Moon, Stars
God made the sun for day, moon for night, and stars for beauty.
Activity: Track the sun, look for the moon at night, or use a star app.
Let’s Talk: What might be different if we didn’t have the sun, or if there were no stars?
  5. Day 5: Birds & Fish
God made birds to fly and fish to swim.
Activity: Listen for birds, watch a fish tank or video, or mimic bird calls.
Let’s Talk: Why did God make so many different birds and fish?
  6. Day 6: Animals & People
God made all the animals—and people in His image!
Activity: Act out animal movements; look in a mirror and name what’s special about you.
Let’s Talk: What does it mean to be made “in God’s image”? How are we like and unlike animals?
  7. Day 7: Rest
God rested and made this day holy.
Activity: Take a quiet moment, breathe deeply, and rest.
Let’s Talk: Why do you think rest is important for people, too?
