Welcome to the BCC Eva C. Smith Biblical Coaching Center
Today’s world has brought with it a sense of chaos that has challenged this generation in ways past generations have never experienced. Children have questions, are searching for truth, and desire solutions and guidance in a very noisy world. While they seem to have everything at their fingertips, it is so loud that the challenge has become how to shut out the noise and embrace what is helpful. In comes the Eva C. Smith Biblical Coaching Center. Let’s help children move from chaos to calm, clarity, and confidence.
Calm
Step one, you have to acknowledge the storms. When a child is feeling challenged, we must recognize what they are experiencing. In doing so, this is the first step in dampening the chaos. They are being heard, and this brings a level of calm, readying the mind for guidance. “But he was in the stern, asleep on the cushion. And they woke him and said to him, ‘Teacher, do you not care that we are perishing?’ And he awoke and rebuked the wind and said to the sea, ‘Peace! Be still!’ And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm” (Mark 4:38-39 ESV).
Clarity
Step two, you must establish truth. When truth is established, you receive clarity, a position from which to operate. It is what we use when faced with opposition. Not knowing the truth brings bondage and imprisonment because you are limited in what you can see and experience. “And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free” (John 8:32 NKJV).
Confidence
Step three, provide space to move in confidence. When your storm has been acknowledged, and you have received truth, you must now decide how to move. And when you do move, you will move in confidence, not fear, ready to engage the results of the decision. “Let the wise hear and increase in learning, and the one who understands obtain guidance” (Proverbs 1:5 ESV).
