Like many concerned citizens, we at EMPREP, Inc. were shocked to learn that nearly 60% of third-graders across Tennessee failed their ELA assessments.\u00a0 This alarming statistic is a wake-up call, but it is not the end of the story.\u00a0 We believe it is a challenge that we can overcome.\u00a0 Our conviction is based on the significant results we\u2019ve seen from our company\u2019s Empowerment University for Children program and from piloting our Read with Me<\/a> initiative.<\/p>

While EMPREP, Inc. is currently based in Tennessee, our program\u2019s reach has already extended beyond state lines.\u00a0 This past year, a dedicated teacher in Mississippi partnered with us to test Read with Me<\/a> in her classroom.\u00a0 Her situation was dire: she had fourth-graders reading at a kindergarten level.\u00a0 Motivated by her students\u2019 needs, she implemented our program and even suggested an additional feature to support her advanced learners better.\u00a0 The outcome?\u00a0 Dramatic improvements and consistent success!<\/p>

One particularly inspiring story comes from her work with students with special needs.\u00a0 Without initially telling us, she began using Read with Me<\/a> with these students.\u00a0 The progress was remarkable: one student who previously struggled to participate in a typical classroom environment can now spend 90% of their time with their peers.\u00a0 The teacher shared her experience, saying, \u201cI truly love the program, and the students enjoy it as well.\u00a0 There has been very little complaining because the packet is engaging and includes content that supports all learning styles.\u00a0 When you added the WebQuest component, it really increased engagement for all learners.\u201d<\/p>

Though Read with Me<\/a> was designed for struggling readers in Pre-K through fourth grade, the program\u2019s appeal has proven broader.\u00a0 Other students asked to join, seeking further enrichment.\u00a0 At the teacher\u2019s request, we added advanced components, such as the WebQuest, enabling high-performing students to participate, reinforce their skills, and reach even greater heights.<\/p>

We believe that with the right support, Tennessee\u2019s children and children across the U.S. and beyond can not only meet but also exceed their reading goals.\u00a0 As a professional development company, EMPREP, Inc., recognizes that reading is the foundation for all future academic success.\u00a0 Our children need our help, and we are eager to be part of the solution.<\/p>
