Let us explore!
Empowerment University for Children aims to enhance the learning and development of the whole child. The Explorers group was specially created to provide resources for children ages three to five (3-5). By this age, they enjoy moving significantly due to their improved motor skills. They like to climb, swing, kick, throw, jump, run, and catch. They want to look at, touch, and smell things to better understand what is happening around them. Thus, they are aptly called the Explorers.
Learning Basics
At this age, they are in pre-K or Kindergarten. They enjoy receiving affection and giving affection while starting to learn some semi-independence. They pay close attention to what is happening around them, learn to share, and recognize fears. They can tell you what is happening during the day, ask questions about what they hear, and repeat things they hear in a story. They have short attention spans but enjoy playing with others and forming new friendships. They love to entertain, and they can better understand commands. This membership includes the following types of resources.
- Spiritual
- Academic
- Life Skills
Spiritual Life
Even at this young, tender age, they are ready to learn how to serve God. For example, when Hannah weaned Samuel, she dedicated him to God’s service as promised and took him to the temple to start his training. Later, we see Samuel become one of God’s chief prophets.
Read his story in the book of 1 Samuel 1.
